About: Comprised entirely of silver paper, Alice Wang's artist book exemplifies the artist's exploration into the alchemical transformation of materials. The book contains a collection of stills of inverted synchronized swimmers, which together create a choreography of bobbing and rhythmic movement that perplexes one's bodily sense of gravitational pull. The book also features text by btr in Chinese that is translated into English by Mike Fu, and is designed to open both left-to-right and right-to-left for readers of either language.
